Weber offers an extremely dependable vacuum spindle for the installation of screws in locations with all sorts of accessibility issues, whether they be sidewall obstructions or deeply recessed holes. In fact, we have customers running SEV vacuum spindles with 20,000,000 rundowns and counting, and all are currently running incident-free.
Should you be experiencing problems with the system “spitting” or “dropping” screws, here are a few easy adjustments that may help rectify the problem.
- Make sure Bit Down has its own dedicated valve and is running in the 40-45 psi range
- Maintain a minimum of 85 PSI going into the vacuum pump
- Check that you are using 10mm hose to the vacuum pump, and 10mm all the way to the spindle
- When the system is running, make sure that the line pressure for the cell does not drop below 85 psi
- Bit Down speed cannot be wide open. Return can be wide open, but bit down needs to be slower and more controlled
