Installing a Nederman 865 spring recoil hose reel is a lot easier than it looks. Here’s a step-by-step breakdown on how to install one of these units. We’ve chosen a wall-mount application for this post.
Step 1
Drill four holes using the full-size template.
Step 2
Mount the two mounting brackets.
Step 3
Hang the reel onto the two brackets and secure it with the four bolts that were delivered with the unit.
Step 4
When connecting or removing flex hose from a spring reel push the safety lock. The safety lock prevents the reel from turning while installing the exhaust hose.
Step 5
Connect the exhaust hose to the reel.
Step 6
Pull out the safety lock and manually retract the hose onto the reel.
Step 7
Push in the safety lock and adjust the spring tension with the Allen wrench that was provided with the unit.
Step 8
Pull out the safety lock and attach the nozzle.
