PerfectPleat® ULTRA – High Capacity MERV 8 Pleated Filter with Antimicrobial
The PerfectPleat ULTRA filter has approximately 25% more media than our standard capacity PerfectPleat filter, and also incorporates an antimicrobial. The antimicrobial is applied to the media to preserve the integrity of the media throughout the filter’s useful life by inhibiting microbial growth. PerfectPleat ULTRA filters have distinctive self-supporting characteristics with a pleating pattern that promotes even airflow and maximizes dust holding capacity (DHC). The initial efficiency of the PerfectPleat ULTRA filter is MERV 8, but note that the efficiency increases over the life of the filter. It is well-suited to high moisture conditions where bacterial growth on air filters may be likely to occur and anywhere standard pleated prefilters are currently in use.
If you’re concerned about mold, then this is the filter for you. This filter is also for those looking to lessen their impact on the planet, as these filters are constructed without dies or metals, and are fully incinerable.

It has an initial MERV 8 rating respectively, but the efficiency increases when dust holding begins. PerfectPleat HC M8 filters have distinctive self-supporting characteristics that allow a pleating pattern, which promotes airflow and maximizes dust holding capacity (DHC). Lower pressure drop and higher DHC translate to reductions in energy consumption and operating costs.
In essence, the PerfectPleat HC is the PerfectPleat Ultra without the antimicrobial.

PerfectPleat® SC M8 – Standard Capacity Self-Supported MERV 8 Pleated Filter
PerfectPleat SC M8 filters are designed to consistently increase efficiency throughout the service life of the filter. They have an initial MERV 8 rating respectively, but the efficiency increases significantly when dust loading begins. PerfectPleat SC M8 filters have distinctive self-supporting characteristics that allow a pleating pattern, which promotes airflow and maximizes dust holding capacity (DHC). The PerfectPleat SC M8 filter is best suited for standard capacity pleated panel filter applications, where pleated filters are currently in use. They can also be used to upgrade applications using panel filters.
Unlike the PerfectPleat HC, the PerfectPleat SC is not available in a 1” filter depth.

The PerfectPleat pleated filter line feature superior design and construction. The perimeter frame is constructed from the highest wet-strength 28 pt. beverage carrier board, securely bonded to the media pack. Support straps on the air-entering side are used in combination with a triple layer tri-ply support bar on the air-leaving side of the 2″ model to provide additional strength. The support straps and tri-ply support bar ensure integrity against turbulent airflow. The 2″ filter resists crushing and abuse, and provides excellent lateral stability for installation in side-access systems.
The 4″ model utilizes a two-piece die-cut frame with integral pleat spacers on the air-leaving side. Pleat spacing is controlled by straps bonded to the air-entering side, and the multiple rows of pleat spacers on the air-leaving side. The pleat spacers also ensure that the pleats remain open during use, maximizing filter life.
