Palletizing Grippers (Bag & Box Grippers)

Pneumatically actuated grippers to clamp bags, boxes and other objects from the sides, while preventing misalignment to maintain palletizing consistency.

The clamps are manually adjustable to accommodate different widths, with hard coated grippers for protection during use in extreme environments.

The Effecto line of pneumatically actuated grippers offers several advantages, including:

  • A sensor to verify the presence – or absence – of the object to be held
  • The ability to achieve 20+ cycles per minute, depending of course on the robot being used and the distance to be travelled
  • Pre-configured for robots with an ISO 125 bolt pattern

  • Ease of Integration – comes with all required electrical interconnections between the valves, sensors, and the junction box, as well as the electrical cable and connector

Bag Gripper Options

  • Pneumatic Pusher – replaces the standard spring pushers for a more controlled clamping and releasing of bags. This is ideal when bag registration is not possible, and the grippers is being used to center the bag during the pick process.
  • Sheet Picker – picking and placing of any bottom or inter-lay sheet. The cylinders extend for sheet picking, with each suction cup containing a vacuum sensor to detect lost vacuum.
  • Pallet Picker – used to pick and place empty open-side pallets. The arms retract fully when not in use.
  • Servo Width Adjustment – on-the-fly width adjustment for palletizing multiple bag width without the requirement for operator intervention

Box Gripper Options

  • Sheet Picker – picking and placing of any bottom or inter-lay sheet. The cylinders extend for sheet picking, with each suction cup containing a vacuum sensor to detect lost vacuum.
  • Pallet Picker – used to pick and place empty open-side pallets. The arms retract fully when not in use.
