Fixed Station Indexers (TC and TR)

Fixed Station or Fixed Position indexers involve the use of a high-precision barrel cam with a dwell. With these units the movement pattern is determined by the cam track. They’re highly accurate and offer a smooth motion profile, offering zero backlash due to tensioned cam followers at the stop positions.

With fixed station indexers once the number of stops has been determined there is no going back. Unlike freely programmable indexers you cannot change the number of stops down the road.

• Mechanics are stronger than the motor: cannot break the cam followers. With other manufacturers you need to invest in an overload clutch. With Weiss you cannot exceed the permitted inertia. Their weak link is the motor coupler, with is inexpensive to replace.
• Multiple drive positions, multiple mounting positions, stationary centre with a through hole, side window for cabling
• All surfaces from the casting to the rotating dial plate to the stationary plate have accurate mounting holes. All you need to do is transfer our bolt hole and dowel hole pattern to your mounting plate.
• Very low profile – the motor and belt pulley housing always has a smaller profile than the casting itself, so you don’t have any costly cut-outs in your machined top plate

Weiss Freely Programmable Indexers (NC, NR, CR)

For the Weiss line of freely programmable rotary indexing tables, you have the option of choosing a NC, NR, or CR.

The NC rotary indexing table offers the robustness and reliability of the TC series indexers, with the added advantages of a freely programmable rotary indexing system.

NR – this is like the TR indexer with the large center hole, with the added advantage of utilizing a freely programmable system.

CR – this is the Heavy-Duty version of the Weiss line of freely programmable rotary indexing tables.
